OPERATING DOCTRINE / REVISION 01

INSTITUTIONAL PUNK

Government structure. Countercultural allegiance. Scientific rigor. Human survivability.

Cyberdelia is not anti-structure. It is anti-stupid structure. The purpose of the institution is to increase the reader's agency: understand the system, inspect the evidence, operate the tools, preserve autonomy, and make decisions without surrendering judgment to authority, fashion, fear, or software.

01 / EVIDENCE

We will not promise neutrality. We will promise receipts.

Absolute neutrality is probably unattainable. Auditable reasoning is attainable. Sources, assumptions, uncertainty, competing interpretations, corrections, and revision history should remain visible enough that a skeptical reader can inspect the chain.

02 / AUTONOMY

Tools should increase agency, not replace it.

AI, institutions, experts, media, and social systems can assist judgment. None receive automatic sovereignty over it. Cyberdelia distinguishes evidence from inference and advice from authority.

03 / SURVIVABILITY

Useful information should survive contact with pressure.

Articles should help readers understand, verify, build, survive, repair, or act. When stakes are high, the work should identify failure modes, thresholds, uncertainty, and when amateur action should stop.

04 / PROVENANCE

Do not improve the evidence until nobody can tell what was original.

Primary files remain primary. Derivatives are labeled. Original source, acquisition path, hashes, release context, and transformations belong with the record whenever available.

05 / CORRECTION

Being wrong is survivable. Hiding it is expensive.

Corrections should be dated and visible. Claims can change as evidence changes. Revision is a feature of serious work, not an embarrassing patch to be buried after midnight.

06 / CULTURE

The presentation may be strange. The methods cannot be fake.

Cyberdelia can be profane, funny, sexual, difficult, artistic, abrasive, or beautiful. Style does not exempt factual claims from scrutiny. Seriousness is a property of method, not beige typography.

THE TEST

Does this increase human agency?

A proposed feature, article, archive, interview, experiment, or product should usually improve a reader's ability to understand, verify, build, survive, or act autonomously. If it does none of those things, it needs an unusually good reason to occupy the building.
