External source URLs stay open. Cyberdelia also preserves local source bytes for material we materially rely on whenever law and technical reality permit, with software, datasets, manuals, research packages, and public records using the same custody vocabulary.

This is an FTP-style public directory delivered over HTTPS, not an anonymous FTP network service. SOURCE opens the originating record. LOCAL appears only when Cyberdelia actually possesses and publicly serves the recorded bytes. META opens the acquisition sidecar when available. “Mirror queued” still means exactly that. Repository-tier storage handles small durable records now; large datasets and media move to the object-storage tier when connected.

INTEGRITY + PACKAGE CONTRACT

Do not silently replace history.

When Cyberdelia acquires a source object, the archive records the originating authority, original URL, filename, retrieval time, content type, byte count, and SHA-256. A later re-download is a new acquisition event. OCR, extracts, thumbnails, transcripts, repaired scans, summaries, annotations, and analysis remain derivatives.

Downloadable software and research bundles also carry a Cyberdelia custody README, file hashes, and a normalized manifest while preserving upstream README, LICENSE, CHANGELOG, manuals, and author material untouched.
